The Magic of Worldbuilding
Option 1: Max the Magical Cat (Ages: around 8-12)
Build a magical cat with me! This fun, creative, and interactive workshop explores the process of creating a magic system in a fantasy novel. I’ll provide a worksheet that you can print prior to the visit that will help guide students through the joy of creating magic!
Time: 30-45 minutes. Can pair with a Q&A for longer class periods!
Option 2: How to Build a Fantasy World (Ages: 12 and up, great for HS and College classes)
Building a fantasy world is a complex and fascinating process. With this workshop, I’ll do a deep dive into my worldbuilding process, guiding students on creating their own magical worlds.
Time: 45 minutes – 1 hour.
Publishing
The Publishing Journey (Ages: recommended 14 and up, great for College level)
In this seminar, I’ll walk students from start to finish through the process of getting traditionally published, with time at the end for a Q&A.
